About Program

Spend a semester at University of Geneva, where you’ll immerse yourself in academic research while exploring the language and culture of Switzerland. As one of 11 leading European research institutions participating in the Research Study Abroad Program, the university offers students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, hands-on research alongside experienced faculty and research teams.

Research opportunities are available across a wide range of disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, biological sciences, physical sciences, and engineering. Gaining undergraduate research experience can strengthen your academic background and help you stand out when applying to graduate school or research-focused careers. Participants may choose between two program options, each worth 30 ECTS credits (equivalent to 15 U.S. semester credits).
