About Program
The mission of Wongu University of Oriental Medicine is to educate students to become skilled Oriental Medicine practitioners who possess compassion and integrity. Wongu will lead in the education and clinical training of health professionals who use evidence-based alternative treatment options integrating Western biomedicine and Oriental medicine.
The didactic 4-year program is an intensive and broad study of Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, Herbology, Western Medicine, and Clinical Training. It consists of 2,500 didactic hours of didactic training and 1,000 clinical hours for a total of 3,500 hours. Clinical training, as an internship, takes place at our very own clinic, Wongu Health Center, located next to campus.
Upon completion, students satisfy the Nevada State Board of Oriental Medicine’s curriculum and clinical hours requirements to seek licensure as an Oriental Medicine Doctor in the State of Nevada.
