MIIS: MA in International Policy and Development

The MAIPD degree is the right choice if your principal passion is large scale, high level policy research, design, and advising. You will gain concrete experience in mixed methods research, evidence based policy design and assessment, and implementing policy-relevant primary research. You will be challenged to conceive of innovative policy solutions in the face of human rights challenges, human insecurity, poverty and inequality, corruption, inter-state inequalities and power differentials, historically-rooted social conflict, and diasporic and migration processes. Promoting fair and just global development policies - economic and social - are a particular focus in MAIPD, as are competencies related to data analysis, statistical analysis and reasoning, knowledge brokering, confronting corruption, economic analysis, and critical thinking.
