About Program

This well established 6 month teaching program will give you an insight into what China is really like. You do not need a degree to take part, but you need to be from a native English speaking country.

The inclusive program starts with an online TEFL, included in the price. On arrival in Beijing, the group will do a tour of the city, including visiting the Great Wall. You will then complete the 10 day practical teaching component of your TEFL. You will also get to learn Mandarin, calligraphy and Tai Chi.

On completion, you and at least one other intern, will move to your school. Your travel will be organised for you. You will be provided with a shared room (usually with aircon), WiFi, food and a living allowance. Excellent support is given throughout. You will earn 2000RMB a month & 2500RMB as a completion bonus.

Impact

Sustainability

Oyster Worldwide is passionate about the importance of responsible travel. We want our projects to fit in with the local way of life, without having a negative impact on the environment, culture or economy. This means that we will only send participants to places where there is a real need and where we have been asked to work. Once there, they should fit in with the community, respecting their way of life and supporting, rather than taking, local jobs.
