Great Experience of TEFL

The course was a good decision to enrol in. I only joined this course to complete the requirement for the IELTS examiner but throughout the 3 weeks I learned many new techniques. I learned about how to deal with students, how they should be encouraged to do better and how they can be taught. I also learned that students need to be taught according to their level and ability. The course structure should be developed in a way that most of the students can be accommodated. All in all, anyone who feel they need to brush their skills in teaching and want an opportunity to teach abroad should definitely enrol in this course. Anamika Mukherjee is a great trainer. She taught us with a lot of patience and different activities. ACT is the best institute to gain a valuable experience.

What would you improve about this program?
I think the students should go through screening before being selected for this course. I don't think it is suitable for everyone. Their should be an eligibility criteria.

It was amazing experience with ACT and the course was made even more worth it because of my trainer,Aditi Ghosh.

Hands on experience through teaching practices and peer teach were very helpful.
Appropriate emphasis was given on teaching methods and techniques and how we can apply them in the future.
The course covered various aspects of grammar, phonology, blooms, error correction etc.
Components of a lesson plan were also explained very well.
It was a very informative course and the overall experience was amazing and definitely worth the time and money.
The course was engaging and made interesting and made learning fun and easy. A worthwhile experience.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The most nerve-racking moments were the teaching practices but they were definitely worth the experience.

Awesome journey

It is a great learning journey. I got to experience the techniques of TEFL standard of learning. This course taps into the analytical, creative and imaginative skills of a person. During this course I realised that I could actually draw. As per me I was very bad at drawing. It was great to learn from my peers. I learnt a lot from them. Our training facilitator was a awesome person. I learnt a lot from her. This course helped me to tap into my imaginative aspect. This course helped to be more patient, understanding and watch and listen very carefully. I learnt how to accept people the way they are to embrace the different ideas of various people. This course has opened a new horizon for me to travel abroad and work as ESL/TEFL trainer. I am definitely keen to travel abroad and work as a teacher.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Just go for this course. It is an amazing learning.

Intensive TEFL course!

The course is very intensive, informative but fun at the same time. The activities, games and all the practices were very useful. It helped us open up and be better human beings as well as helped us be a better facilitator whose main motive is to facilitate learning. This course is for people who want to travel but who want to be good facilitators at the same time. Otherwise this course wouldn't be the best option. Because it is very intensive and we have learnt so many things in such a short time that we didn't have any idea about before joining the course. Overall, it was a very fun experience and our trainer made us more fun for us. We were all a family who would stick together with each other no matter what. Our trainer and our peers were the best.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Do not take this course if you are not passionate about teaching. This is definitely recommended if you want to travel the world but you have to have the passion for teaching and becoming an excellent facilitator who facilitates learning.

Go for ACT!

A highly intensive beautifully structured program with really efficient trainers who mold you and inspire you. I feel like a new person after this course. Never knew learning could be so much fun and varied with new surprises at every turn. Our most excellent trainer Aditi Ghosh showed us a path that we were not aware of before. And that will stay. Leaving this place with a lot of memories, efficiency, and faith. Would love to pass down some of the numerous things that I have learned in a way that other people can benefit from it in the same way that I did. After all, learning is all about giving. Kudos to our peers as well who helped us learn collaborative thinking and the art of growing together. I cannot thank enough, anything said is less.

What would you improve about this program?
Better course material should be provided for simpler understanding.

Amazing Experience

My overall journey with Asian College of Teachers for the In-Class TEFL program was amazing. Throughout the sessions I enjoyed a lot and find it very useful for my teaching career. The course structure, teaching methodologies and all activities that were covered in the program are wonderful that will help much in everyone's teaching career.
The one most important benefit of TEFL is the chance to earn and travel.

The first TEFL benefit is after the completion of the course one will receive an international teacher training certification.

The second TEFL benefit is, with the international certification one can apply for a teacher's job in regular private schools, international schools and IB schools.

Apart from this another TEFL benefit is that it opens doors in the corporate sector. With the TEFL qualification a trained teacher can become a corporate trainer or work as a voice and accent trainer.

The most attractive TEFL benefit is the freedom and ability to work overseas.

What was your funniest moment?
All classroom activities where we had to enact roles.
