Amy Frazer has been an instrumental figure in my journey through the program, and her support has made a world of difference in shaping my career path. When I first entered the program, both Amy and Jane Gama were incredibly supportive, providing the guidance and encouragement I needed during a time that could have easily been overwhelming. It’s not easy stepping into a new opportunity or trying to navigate the complexities of finding a job in a competitive field, but Amy’s dedication and the care she extended to me made the transition smoother and more manageable.

From the beginning, Amy ensured that I was well-equipped for every challenge that came my way. She went beyond the traditional role of a recruiter or agent; rather than just presenting me with job offers, she took the time to understand my strengths, weaknesses, career aspirations, and personality to ensure that the roles she recommended were genuinely a good fit for me. For that, I will always be grateful. The support I received from her and Jane Gama helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it made all the difference in finding a position where I felt confident, valued, and prepared to succeed.

When I first decided I wanted to teach English in Japan, I didn't know the first thing about the process. I discovered XploreAsia through the company I earned my TEFL certificate from. Amy and Jane did an excellent job guiding me through the process of preparing, applying, and arriving in Japan to work with Interac. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I promptly received long, detailed answers so I never felt out of the loop or unheard. With their continuous assistance and instruction, as well as their direct correspondence with contacts at Interac, everything went smoothly from the start to finish. I am now enjoying an ALT teaching position in Tsukuba in Ibaraki prefecture and couldn't be more satisfied.

I arrived in Sapporo in April of 2024. Having previously gone through XploreAsia to travel to and teach in South Korea they were the obvious choice again when I decided I wanted to do the same in Japan. The team are very helpful at providing all the information necessary and assisting when you are perhaps struggling with certain aspects of the application or moving. They are very responsive to emails and will get back to you very quickly, meaning there is less room for panic and stress. So far, I have had a wonderful time in Japan and I am now looking forward to the extreme winter in Hokkaido.

Thank you Amy for all your help with setting up my ALT interviews, it's much appreciated. I'm very happy with my placement. I have been welcomed since day one and I have been made to feel like an important member of the school staff.

Whilst the town I have been placed in has a relatively quiet social scene, I have still managed to find a lovely friend group with whom I am able to experience all the wonderful things about Japan.

The people, the nature and of course the food have all blown me away.

Overall very good program that helps one prepare to move abroad every step of the way!
I'm very happy to finally be in Japan doing what I do as a teacher here in Japan. I teach middle school and everyday is a great challenge and thanks to this program I was able to move here and help shape young minds.
Only thing that I would so is help give advice to those who are new to living in a foreign country especially those going to countries without ac. As summers can be rough if you aren't used to it.

The staff is very supportive in all the processes. From interviews until you reach your country of placement. They still check on you afterwards through emails and Line. Always available when you need them. The team also organized an in-country cultural weekend in Japan with accommodation expenses already paid. The welcome dinner was also relaxed .I met knew people from all around Japan and had so much fun. The tour guide provided by the team was very kind and resourceful. Thank you Xplore Asia!

I have not been in the program for long, but I have had a great experience so far. Moving to Japan was really difficult but the staff helped me through it and were patient with my mistakes. This is my first time teaching in a classroom, and everyone has been very understanding of my shortcomings. The most difficult part of the program was figuring out how to get to my placement location, since I had to get from the airport to location on my own.
Adjusting to the move has also been difficult. It was expensive to furnish my apartment, so it is important to be aware of the cost.
However I have had a great time traveling around Japan, trying new foods, meeting new people, and learning how to be a better teacher and member of Japan.

I am so happy to have joined XploreAsia and have the chance to work in Japan. It is a dream come true! I am not only happy to work in a school environment to teach English, but to also make new friends to make fun memories with.
During this experience, I have been able to further develop my interpersonal skills with students, school administrators and staff, coworkers in the teaching programs, and in the local communities that I am living in. I have been able to develop a better sense of confidence both professionally and personally.
