About Program

For over 25 years, Borderlink, Inc. has been creating opportunities for people around the world to come live and teach in Japan as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs). We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic and education-focused individuals to join us for the new school year starting next spring.

You'll teach alongside Japanese teachers to make English lessons fun and engaging for the students. Practicing grammar and vocabulary and participating in games and activities to reinforce the lesson’s goals are all part of a typical day’s work. Where being an ALT really stands out from other teaching jobs are the opportunities you'll have for communication and interaction with your students and fellow teachers beyond the classroom.

Our ALTs work primarily in elementary and junior high schools, and we're based all across the country, from dense urban cities to spacious, low-cost country towns. Discover a different side of Japan with Borderlink. We're waiting to hear from you!
