About Program

Are you young and naïve? Teaching English Abroad too easy for you? Sounds like a Teaching Assistant position at Springfield Elementary is the career opportunity you’ve been looking for!

Located in the beautiful, exotic metropolis of Springfield, Oregon (if you’re lucky you could even wind up in Massachusetts or Texas – best not to worry about such details), our underfunded but spunky Elementary school is seeking doe eyed, motivated young teachers that haven’t yet been beaten down by the youth of today.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Fantasy Programs Abroad for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.

Impact

Our head fourth grade teacher Edna Krabappel is pretty tired and has a Match.com date most nights of the week, so we are looking for some fresh blood to fill in the gaps. It’s entirely possible that you’ll be teaching your very own classroom on some days! This is an unpaid position, but sometimes there is a box of Lard Lad Donuts in the break room. Smoking in the classroom and unorthodox disciplinary methods are highly encouraged.

Interested applicants should forward a resume and 500 words about how you would deal with spiky haired problem child skateboarders to Principal.Skinner@aol.com.

SAVE YOURSELF

I have never experienced such a backwards town as Springfield. I will NEVER go back there. The students are terrible and never learn from their mistakes. I ran out of things for Bart to write on the blackboard within the first TWO WEEKS.
