About Program
Academia Tica is a Costa-Rican, family-owned, social enterprise founded in 1986. All our programs has been long recognized with an Instituto Cervantes Accredited Center certification, since 2002.
Our two campuses are focused on international education, volunteering programs, cultural & educacional activities, with the goal of lend some help and make a positive change in the community. All the areas of work have always followed tropical, friendly, cultural, humanist and social principles.
The volunteering program is an experience that presents the chance to help by working with people, with animals, or in nature. Te program includes Animal Rescue Projects, Social Volunteering Projects, Turtle Protection projects, Organic Farm Volunteering and Nature Conservation Projects.
All our volunteering projects have been carefully selected to work with foreigners. You will go to a place where you are really needed and able to help.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger.
