About Program
In the heart of Munoz, a predominantly Haitian community on the outskirts of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, Project Esperanza hosts volunteers regularly throughout the year to participate in education, community development, eco-construction, and sustainability initiatives.
In the summer, Project Esperanza spearheads an English immersion camp, ¨Cambia Mis Estrellas,¨where volunteers engage with students from Project Esperanza´s two grassroots schools to do activities, play games, and learn English in fun, interactive ways. During the rest of the year, volunteers are welcome to come whenever and for however long as they can. We always have sustainable, continuous projects throughout the year that volunteers are encouraged to jump in on!
We currently have a variety of projects available, PE is great for volunteers looking for a more structured or a more independent volunteer experience!
