Price Details
The cost of the full 8 week apprenticeship is $1600. However, for the breakdown for those staying less time is as follows:

7 weeks - $1500
6 weeks - $1300
5 weeks - $1100
4 weeks - $900
1-3 weeks - $250 each week

Included in Cost:
- Practical – theoretical permaculture workshops
- Certification (4 modules minimum)
- Three meals a day from Monday through Friday
- Lodging for the whole stay including weekends at Caimito, private room, mosquito net
- Tools for practical activities
- Access to the local Permaculture library (mostly digital)

Not Included in Cost:
- Plane tickets
- Visa
- Weekend meals: If you go on adventures you will eat away, but if you stay in Caimito you can arrange your meals with the local families ($3 per meal) or buy supplies and cook your own meals at the volunteer house.
- Transportation
- Leisure or touristic free time activities
- Extras: snacks, toiletries, alcoholic beverages, etc.

About Program

The Tropical Permaculture Apprenticeship consists of eight thematic modules that include a variety of topics including permaculture design, soil health, watershed management, reforestation, and eco-construction. A full work week is devoted to the theory and practice of each theme, allowing participants to develop a coherent understanding and vision of ecologically sustainable development. Our diverse team that heads the apprenticeship consists of several experts in permaculture and social development from all over the world, which facilitates a rich educational and cultural exchange. Additionally, program participants experience full cultural immersion and greatly improve their Spanish during the program as they live, work, play, and learn alongside the residents of Caimito.
