About Program
Because there is a shortage of expertise in special education in schools in Ghana, and CLED Ghana creates an opportunity for teachers, parents, school administrators, related services personnel, and students (when appropriate) to work together to improve educational results for children with learning disabilities and special needs in Ghana. On Mondays-Fridays from 8:00am to 4pm, you will work alongside and shadow local professional teacher to
• Go round the classroom observing and providing assistance to students as needed while the class teacher teaches.
• Help mark and correct the students’ classwork and homework.
• help make teaching and learning materials to assist students better understand lessons
• counsel and assist students one-on-one at your free time
• Reading questions to pupils who have reading difficulties
• Recording answers or note taking for pupils who have writing difficulty
• Assist in doing sports and art work and assist in other CLED activities.

Program Impact
This project will not only help you gain firsthand information and experience in education in Ghana but also give you the opportunity to learn Ghanaian culture, meet different people and share ideas as well as experience the rich tourist places in Ghana. You will also receive a recommendation and a certificate from our organization after your volunteering.
