About Program
A program designed to place interested volunteers in local schools, to teach basic topics such as English, Maths, Science, Geography.
Classroom size: between 20-30 kids per classroom.
Classroom levels: from KG to upper Primary school levels.
Hours: 8am to 2pm.
Experience: no teaching experience necessary, however certain educational backgrounds -university student, TEFL training and/or similar background is favoured.
We usually encourage pairing volunteer teachers in the classroom, especially in the first few days of the program, in order to build confidence and prepare for solo teaching.
Teaching materials are usually scarce and school facilities tend to be basic thus volunteers are encouraged to bring educational materials from home to assist them in the classroom and also as an incentive for classroom participation and engagement
Groups and welcome and can take part in activities in same or different locations depending on choice.
