Volunteering enables you to get entirely immersed in the local culture and community, experience the real local life, with all its ups and downs. This is a truly eye-opening experience, where you get just as much or more as you give.
Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. Passionate about nature? - Costa Rica is the country with the highest percentage of protected territory in the world! Choose from a variety of environmental projects - you can work in some of the country´s most important national parks or conservation areas, protecting endangered species, such as sea turtles in Matapalo, Tortuguero, Corcovado, Buena Vista or Quelonios! You can also, work at an alternative farm in Santa Rosa or teach children in the capital of San Jose.
