About Program

Most people see India from a distance. This is your chance to see it from the inside.
Spend a week working alongside NGOs, living in a Himalayan village, sharing meals with locals, and going places most tourists never find. You'll see how grassroots communities are quietly changing the country, one village at a time, and you'll leave with stories, friendships, and a perspective that no classroom can give you.
Oh, and yes, you'll see the Taj Mahal too. 🙂

Program Highlights

  • Live inside a Himalayan village
  • Work alongside real NGOs
  • Walk Delhi with former street children
  • See the Taj Mahal, of course!
  • Recommend time - May/Jun or Oct/Nov

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
