About Program
We offer volunteering opportunities with both our "School Programme" which targets New Dawn Primary School which has a huge lack of teachers, classrooms and resources, as well as our "Informal Education/Advisory Programme" which targets warriors, non-school going children, dropouts, women and involves health, life skills, literacy etc. teaching and advice, as well as special events, entertainment and sports. Many people in the area are illiterate mainly concerned about their livestock even sending children into the bush for herding rather than to school.
This is one of the few volunteering opportunities based in Northern Kenya where cultural beliefs and practices are still very much alive, within pastoral communities (Rendille), and you will get to live within, experience and see people wearing a lot of bead work all around the clock. On top, the project is located just around a Game Reserve with lots of animals like lions, elephants, antelopes etc.
