About Program
We're a hotel, surf school and community outreach centre in Puerto Madero, Chiapas, Mexico.
Puerto Madero has limited cultural and community facilities, and therefore the aim of Misión Surf's outreach is to create a safe community space where women, children and youth can come together and develop new skills and share a sense of community identity.
Misión Mexico's young adults have been running dance classes, swimming lessons, and surf lessons to the children of the community. These classes work to instil confidence, encourage exercise and healthy living and create a safe environment for healthy socialisation with children their own age. We've recently launched our English classes as well, running two groups for children and teenagers.
