About Program

In Volunteers for Peace Mexico, we care for the spaces we offer to our volunteers, we like to guarantee a nice, colorful, and traditional Mexican accommodation for the people who come and stay with us.

In this program, you will help create a nice atmosphere in the house by helping to manage the spaces, like bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, garden, roof, and any space in the house. You will also help paint walls, create new colorful murals, and garden while spending some day with a warm Mexican family.

We care about our volunteer house and what we can provide to our volunteers each season. You will stay in a formal bed (it could be full or individual size), the house has a small but nice and complete kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, a living room, and a nice garden with some trees and plants that we want to keep and grow. And we have a cat named Douglas!

Program Highlights

  • Traditional neighborhood in Aguascalientes city.
  • Use your free time to visit the city and multiple nice locations like El Cerro del Muerto.
  • Stay for a maximum of 2 months.
  • Eat amazing home made Mexican food!
  • You will stay in the very center of Mexico, there is no beach here but what about the hot waters centers in the city?!!

Program Impact

During your stay at Volunteers for Peace Mexico you will be able to learn Spanish, the main language is this but the family also speaks a little of English. When staying in our volunteers house, you will spend time in a very eclectic and traditional neighborhood in Aguascalientes city, one of the oldest of the region, here you can share time with older people as well with kids and pets. Our cat name is Douglas and you will be able to take care of him (he is not very used to be around but he will come and ask for love sometimes). After your time with us, you will have a very nice and clear perspective of a traditional Mexican family from Aguascalientes city.
