About Program
Support Hammock Boutique, a recently certified B-corp and Fair Trade Federation member, and its non-profit arm, Cielo Foundation in the Yucatan peninsula. Hammock Boutique works with 880 Yucatan families, often illiterate and living in poor conditions, who create beautiful, hand-woven Mayan hammocks. Cielo Foundation is passionate about breaking generational poverty in rural communities primarily by focusing on youth going to university. On this trip, Boomerang's team will learn about Mayan culture, and humbly lend our professional skills where we can. Boomerang members will be matched to one of the organizations based on their interests and skills.
