About Program

Join us and the Atlas Cultural Foundation in building a community center alongside local community members in the High Atlas mountain region of Zawiwya Ahansal, Morocco. The center will provide highly impactful education and health programs to the local tribal members. No prior construction skills necessary!

In addition to volunteering at the construction site in Amezray - a village nestled along a river surrounded by mountain peaks - you'll explore the labyrinth of markets in the ancient streets of Marrakech, tour the 13th century mountain Berber community of Amezray with local guides, learn basic phrases in Berber from a local, visit the weekly market of the regional semi-nomadic tribe, volunteer in the children's English program, drink Moroccan mint tea with the Sheikh of the tribe, and enjoy delicious traditional Moroccan meals.

Volunteers will stay in beautiful stone mountain lodge called Dar Ahansal, owned and operated by a local mountain guide.
