About Program

Teaching English Volunteer Program in Nepal is an enjoyable and satisfying experience where the volunteers get the opportunity to teach the students who eager to improve their conversational English skills.

The system of teaching is different in Nepal. You do not need to use the same method; but there will be times when you need to follow the school curriculum - for example - to prepare the students for exams. They will be encouraged to use their own teaching methodologies.

You'll have the opportunity to experience a land, its people, and culture firsthand; see the sights and sample the local cuisine; and make friends you'll have for a lifetime.

You will stay with a Nepali family near the school. You will teach for anywhere between 2 to 6 hours each day for six days a week (Saturday is the day off). This will vary from school to school. The age range of the students will vary, but generally fall between 10 to 14 years of age and have basic level of English.

Volunteers for this program are encouraged to work with local teachers to develop new teaching practices and help with their personal conversational English to enable them to teach English in the future.

Fantastic Program!

My project exceeded my every expectation—this was without a doubt the single greatest experience of my life! experience was priceless !!

I love Nepal and it's people so much, I fully intend to go back. The children I worked with were amazing and will forever have a special place in my heart.

My host family made me feel so at home from the moment I got there. I feel like they were constantly putting me 1st. I was there hoping to meet their needs and yet all they could concern themselves with was my level of comfort.
