Popular Programs
This amazing project was created with the goal of helping to improve the English speaking abilities of the impoverished children of Cusco. Those on the teaching English program will work in one of a number of schools or community groups in Cusco. Volunteer teachers are giving local people the real opportunity to improve their skills, and thus their opportunities and lives.
The mission of this program is to care for at-risk and impoverished children of Peru. The children attending these projects require a lot of care, attention and most importantly, companionship. Volunteers spend their time caring for the children, helping with their education, playing games and arranging fun activities during leisure time, like sports or trips to the park.
Volunteers provide much-needed support and assistance to children and young adults at various childcare facilities in Cusco. One such facility is a school for mentally disabled and deaf children and young adults aged from 3 to 25 years. For volunteers who truly want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children, this program serves to protect and care for those who need it most.
Response from Love Volunteers
Dear Rachel,
What an inspiring and motivating review! Thank-you so much; not only for taking the time to recount your amazing experiences in Cusco to encourage and assist future volunteers - but most importantly for your incredible contribution to the animal shelter, including providing a permanent home for Patricia and Bonnie!
Placing volunteers like you is what it's all about and we love that you took challenges in your stride, embraced the culture, language and opportunities available and made the absolute most of your time in Peru.
Thanks again and please do join us again if you get the chance :-) Enjoy your new family members and all the very best for your future adventures.
