About Program
Teach Beach Retreat is back with a creative wellness retreat. Live at the beach, surf, learn about Bomba dance, wake up for some yoga and conversational Spanish over breakfast, volunteer with children, senior citizens and with our local nature conservation team. Network with other like minded artists, creatives, adventure lovers and explore the beautiful town of Luquillo!
If you are interested in becoming scub certified, lifeguard certified, more skilled in surfing or yoga certified. This would be a great opportunity for you. Like our Dance Gap Year NYC program. We tailor the project to align with your ideas as much as we can outside of the designed curriculum. What we have learned in 5 years is that's our super power and the reason being...we don't accept large groups. So if you're looking for an intimate group of 4-6, max 10 future friends in life. Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. Program Impact
This is an opportunity to do incredible work in a beautiful beach town called Luquillo Puerto Rico. It is 30 minutes away from the capital. Luquillo is a wonderful serene place with lots of locals and expats. What is missing from the town is enriching activities for youth and senior citizens. They don't have many seasonal activities like arts and crafts, performing arts, exercise classes, or performances. Like our gap year program we have a very unique approach. We design the activities we offer based on the skills you have and what you get in return is an experience that will not be under appreciated by the community and we as a program provider will help you enhance those skills and provide you new ones so that you can continue to prosper after taking this balanced out trip of relaxation, rejuvenation and service.
