This covers travel to/from assessment and training, flights, accommodation, food, a weekly stipend, travel in-country, health insurance, vaccines and visas.
As part of the program you are expected to fundraise £800/£1500 to raise awareness of ICS and to show your commitment.
Challenges Worldwide is a pioneering social enterprise placing (International Citizen Service) ICS volunteers to work as Business Support Associate for a 12-week placement.
The Challenges Worldwide ICS Program offers 18-25 year olds the opportunity to work alongside local counterparts to support growing enterprises in Rwanda through the delivery of the Challenges Worldwide Enterprise Support Framework (ESF). The ICS program is government-funded, which covers travel, food and accommodation with a host family.
Our volunteers do not need previous business experience to deliver the ESF as during the program we deliver weekly training in Professional Consulting accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
After their placement, volunteers have the chance to complete their Level 5 qualification in Professional Consulting at an exclusive rate. Our businesses focus on everything from sustainable agriculture, renewable energies, clean tech and artisan products.
