About Program
Volunteers assist with the rescue, rehabilitation and release of many Southern African seabirds’ species, including the endangered African penguin.
Volunteers will be taught how to catch, hold, feed and care for a variety of seabirds that requires handling. Many other tasks need to be carried out daily including the preparation of fish and food for birds, cleaning the bird enclosures, pools and mats, sterilizing syringes and many other duties.
No specific skills or experience are necessary as training is provided.
Ideal project for students or graduates, as well as seabird enthusiasts.
