Looking to gain hands-on conservation experience? Join our student internship programme! Whether you're studying in a conservation-related field or have recently graduated, our placements immerse you in the field and engage you in our projects. We offer personalized, practical experiences for each participant.
Our program is ideal for undergraduate or recently graduated biologists seeking career-related work experience abroad. Please note, this is not a leisurely holiday experience. Join our dynamic team and work across our core programs, including Applied Research (social and ecological) in forests, fynbos, rivers, estuaries, coastal, and marine environments, as well as our Behavioural Change programme (community engagement & education), gaining a comprehensive understanding of conservation practices firsthand.

Program Highlights
- NVT is located in a near-pristine natural environment.
- Surrounded by indigenous forest, fynbos (only found in South Africa), unique rivers and estuarine habitats, dynamic coastal habitats, rocky shores, and exquisite marine bay neighboring the oldest and largest Marine Protected Area in South Africa
- Nature's Valley is situated on the whale migration route and certain dolphin species in the waters year-round. The Plettenberg Bay recently being awarded Whale Heritage status.
- Classified as an international hope spot and an important bird and biodiversity area (IBA - Birdlife International) with WESSA Blue Flag and Green Coast award status
