The Revival Project tackles the serious gang problems in vulnerable neighborhoods, by giving the targeted youths a viable alternative to the gangster-life. We equip these youngsters with practical skills and teach them to create a variety of real commercial products that is sold at our markets to local families and visiting travelers.

The local youth and our volunteers get together regularly for fun brainstorming sessions where we conceptualize our products, created from recycled material, donated by surrounding local businesses. Our ultimate aim is to create young entrepreneurs.

We accommodate you in our awesome upcycled shipping container dormitories. Check out the pictures...it will blow your mind

About Program

At Hostival, we use our experience in youth and event accommodation to uplift communities in need…with special focus on South Africa. Many of our guests from past events are inspired to assist these communities, by taking time and donating their skills to make a lasting impact and to improve lives.

At the Revival Project, we host workshops for numerous communities where we teach a variety of skills like growing and carpentry skills; art projects; surfing and meditation. We team up with experienced individuals – artists, artisans, chefs, video makers and anybody who feels compelled to make a difference in the lives of others.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
