About Program

Situated in the heart of the majestic southern Drakensberg mountain lies a village in need of your help. Join Mozvolunteers on our Zulu community project to help uplift the local community through education, construction and support.

whilst participating on the project you will be working in the community with renovations to a dilapidated creche (zulu childrens day care centre), building of playground jungle gym and the development of a weaving workshop whereby we employ local men and women from the area and teach them new skills in producing mohair products which are then sold.

Accommodation is provided at Rivercroft Cottage with its spectacular mountain views and all meals are included.

Weekends are free for local travel, or join one of our tours that take you further afield, to Mozambique or Swaziland, the wild coast or other destinations.

Amazing experience of a lifetime!!

I had the most amazing experience working with MozVolunteers on this programme. I was part of a small group of volunteers from varied backgrounds, and we had a fabulous time! Alex and Scott helped us to make the most of our project work, and we spent our days helping out at the Beersheba school, and looking after a nutrition project that helps to feed all the most vulnerable children from the school and creche every day.

We helped out sometimes on the house to house healthcare monitoring programme, and that was a really eye opening experience, South Africa seems so developed on the outside, but seeing what some people go through, wow!

Thanks guys for an amazin experience

What would you improve about this program?
Probably the advertising - if they could advertise to more people, then there could be volunteers there helping the full time staff all year round, which are extra pairs of hands and further finance from more volunteer contributions.
