About Program

Join One Bike to help empower the local community through cycling!

You could help work closely with the community, by assisting in social projects such as recycling tours, bicycle mechanics workshops and bike donations programs. Our recycling tours involve going around Moshi, along the streets and into schools, collecting plastic to be recycled. The bicycle mechanics workshops involves teaching children how to repair and maintain their bicycles, to learn crucial life long skills. For the second year in a row, we have also started bike donation programs such as Tour de Kili, involving a mountain bike race across the Mount Kilimanjaro trails, running in August. Alongside our social enterprise, we also provide culturally rich tours around Moshi City, such as Safaris, Kilimanjaro summits and stunning sight seeing, all on a bike!

You will be staying in a lovely homestay, run by my family, where you will receive food, a good nights rest and learn the Tanzanian way of life.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
