About Program
Woven Connect is a dynamic NGO based in Arusha, Tanzania, dedicated to empowering women through handcraft training. Our programs offer skills in batik making, tailoring, weaving, and beading, designed to uplift women facing difficult circumstances. Many of the women we support are single mothers, survivors of domestic abuse, or have had little to no formal education. Through our hands-on training, we provide them with the tools and confidence to rebuild their lives and achieve financial independence.
Since 2009, Woven Connect has empowered over 1,000 women, with an even broader impact on their families and communities. Graduates of our program are free to pursue opportunities on their own or continue working with us at our Afrikan Wear workshop or from home. By fostering independence, resilience, and creativity, we help women break free from cycles of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and those who depend on them.
