About Program

This unique farm project is located in the northern part of Tanzania, Arusha, approximately 1500 m above sea level.

Because of enough rainfall and arable land, we grow different types of tropical crops and staple foods such as cassava, corn, carrots, beans, and bananas. Not only that, but also this soil is fertile and it favors cash and export crops such as coffee, cotton, cashew nuts, pyrethrum, tea etc. Our farm categorically favors banana and coffee crops. Therefore if you are looking for someone or somewhere to offer your energy, skills or just experience something different while traveling, feel invited to choose this unique farm project. The number of hours will be between 25 to 30 hours a week, we don't work on weekends and or during the public holidays in Tanzania. Our spare time is used to hike, do town tour, or do sports and games with local communities or pay a visit to different attractions in Tanzania. You will always be given an accommodation and three times meals.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
