About Program
Our Cherish Daycare Volunteer Program in Arusha, Tanzania offers a hands-on opportunity to support early childhood education while becoming part of a close-knit local community. Volunteers work directly with local teachers to assist with English learning, creative activities, games, and daily care for children aged 2–6 from low-income families. The program goes beyond the classroom, helping improve the overall wellbeing of children through nutrition, healthcare support, and family assistance initiatives. Founded in 2024, the project is supported by a global volunteer team working alongside local staff to create long-term change. Volunteers live in a peaceful village environment just a short walk from the daycare, surrounded by nature and community life. This program combines meaningful impact with cultural immersion, giving volunteers the chance to build real relationships while contributing to equal opportunities for children.
