About Program

Hub for Impact is a locally-run NGO based in Arusha, Tanzania. Our Childcare & Early Education program places volunteers inside daycare centres and kindergartens across Arusha, supporting children aged 0–6 from under-resourced communities.

You will work Monday to Friday alongside local caregivers — leading play-based learning, feeding routines, songs, storytelling, arts and crafts, and giving one-on-one attention to children who need it most.

No prior experience is required. Just bring patience, warmth, and a genuine love for children.

Outside your placement, Arusha sits at the gateway to Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro — your evenings and weekends are completely free to explore.

Locally run. Lower fees. Real community impact.

Program Highlights

  • Work directly with children aged 0–6 at daycare centres and kindergartens
  • Fully hosted — airport pickup, accommodation, and three meals per day included
  • Locally run NGO based in Arusha — your fees stay in the community
  • 24/7 in-country support from our local Arusha-based team
  • No experience required — just warmth, patience, and love for children

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Program Impact

In Arusha's most under-resourced communities, young children lack the attention, stimulation, and care they need to develop fully. By volunteering with Hub for Impact, you directly fill that gap — supporting local caregivers, nurturing early childhood development, and giving children the individual attention that changes their trajectory. Every day you show up matters.
The impact you create in a child's earliest years stays with them for life.
