We charge a registration fee of 5,000 Baht
Volunteers pay for their own accommodation and food.Volunteers can choose their own guest house or hotel. One good guest house provides dormitory accommodation at 5$ a night for volunteers. Elsewhere, private room with bathroom and air-con around 20$ per night.
Taxi to and from schools is provided.

About Program

We are located on the Andaman Coast, 45 miles north of Phuket Island. Khao Lak is a well known family holiday area.
We place English speakers in poorly funded government schools to help the children Speaking English can help a student gain a career in tourism or commerce. It is essential for university entrance.
You will be teamed up with another volunteer and provided with the lessons you should teach for the week. You will be taken to the schools each morning and brought back after school.
In front of a class you will find the children respond cheerfully to your enthusiasm.
We want you to help in these schools - they can't afford to hire Native English Teachers .

Program Impact

Speaking English is a route out of poverty. It is essential for university entrance. Schools in affluent areas hire English speaking teachers. We teach in underfunded rural schools that cannot afford to hire extra staff. We do it for no charge whatsoever.
