About Program
Volunteer teachers, special needs assistants and activity leaders are needed in Uganda's neglected Western region. Our primary schools throughout the area really benefit from exchange with volunteers. Programmes start at $210. No matter what skills you have, whether in music, sport, art, writing, reading, or simply your enthusiasm and goodwill - you make a big impact on our children's lives and help to unlock their creativity.
Teaching experience is not required - we welcome volunteers who are already teaching, those who are interested in a career in teaching and those who simply want to bring their skills to enrich the learning experience of our children. Volunteers can work as assistants to local teachers, or take classes on their own. Our schools would really benefit from more extra curricular activities being initiated. There is also the option to run your own additional initiative in your spare time, whether for adults or children who are unable to attend school.
