About Program

This summer volunteer program for college students in Uganda is designed for Jewish students by American Jewish World Service (AJWS). This is a great opportunity for Jewish students to explore the relationship between Judaism and service by volunteering their time abroad in Uganda on a variety of volunteer initiatives. AJWS works with local grassroots organizations in Uganda on a initiatives including but not limited to human rights, HIV awareness, and LGBT rights. Volunteers will be placed with a local NGO and be provided with basic accommodation that is included in the program cost, along with round-trip airfare. Interested students should visit the AJWS website to learn more, and check the dates for this summer's volunteer project.
