About Program

Engaging communities about: hygiene, diseases (malaria, HIV/AIDS, etc.), child marriages, family planning, gender equality and other various general notions that are often completely unknown to people from the rural setting.

Meet and supportgthe families with children affected by various disorders such as; hydrocephalus, Spina bifida and cerebral palsy. HIV positive children and their families, Homeless children among others.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

SMILE FOR OUR VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Each visit has been magical and revealing, each visit has been a learning that I accumulate in my heart. Do not lose faith please because you are the hope of all these families and children, encouragement that there is still much to do, many children to heal and many more to attend
Wonderful initiative to empower the women of the community so that together they advance in productive projects such as making candles and notebooks, this not only gives them economic independence, the most important thing is that it gives them a world of new possibilities, convinces them that they can do what that are proposed as women and that we are made for many things besides having children.
In a culture where women have children from the age of 15 and the average per woman is 7 children¸ I applaud the support and interest in creating these spaces for transformation and education. They have already started what is perhaps the most difficult, now the road they have left is long and surely full of many successes.

What would you improve about this program?
more volunteers engage more in organization work and also try fundraising for the children the organization is taking care of
still also publishing over seas for more people to come and interact with these OVC
