About Program

Vietnam is an incredibly vibrant country with bustling cities, idyllic beaches, and amazing street food and temple architecture. Kaya is proud to offer a number of important community based volunteer projects and internships in Vietnam. From business development, to healthcare and occupational therapy, to climate change or environmental engineering internships - there is a project for everyone based on your skills, passions, or travel plans.

Internships enable volunteers to gain a more in-depth experience in their field of study, and can be used as a credit in your university course. But if you simply want to volunteer, get your hands dirty, and give back to the local community then consider one of the volunteer placements. Immerse yourself into the community and see the real Vietnam with Kaya Responsible Travel.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Kaya Responsible Travel for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here. Learn more about how Kaya Responsible Travel is promoting ethical volunteering.

Monkey madness!

I had a great time at the Wildlife Rescue Center outside Ho Chi Minh City. The days consisted of preparing food for the animals, playing with the monkeys, raking leaves, fixing fences and so on. The staff was very friendly and the local people just the same. Room facilities were good, and all in all it was a super experience. Highly recommended!
