Great program with Professional Agency

I am deeply grateful for the support I received throughout my au pair experience. My advisor was exceptional—she was always available to assist me, listened attentively to my concerns, and provided guidance whenever I needed it. I felt comfortable approaching her with any questions or challenges, which made the transition smoother.

While the language barrier initially posed some difficulties, it was manageable and not overwhelming. Overall, I found the program to be well-structured and highly professional. The agency handled everything with efficiency, and I never encountered any issues with the program’s organization or support services.

Although I did not participate in specific au pair activities, the agency generously offered additional compensation for me to explore and enjoy leisure time, which I truly appreciated. This thoughtful gesture added to the positive experience.

It was a great once in life time experience

The program offered a perfect balance of cultural immersion, language learning, and childcare experience, all while providing a chance to live in one of the most dynamic countries in the world. The program also provided organized activities and language lessons. Learning Mandarin, while challenging, was an exciting journey, and I found that speaking even a little bit of the local language opened up doors for me to connect with people and navigate everyday life with more confidence. will definitely recommend this program and this agency who wants to experience the real Chinese life .

This country made me surprised every day and every moment

My experience in China was far beyond expectations. This country made me surprised every day and every moment. I had a huge luck with the host family, who treated melike their part. The credit goes to the agency who did a good job with our perfect match. We had similar views in lifestyle, food, time planning and daily routine. We didn’t have any issues with the family at all, so not even a single conflict arose.

My agent was Olivia, who was always there to help in all the unintended obstacles that I had. The supported me on calls, organized a meeting in Beijing and tried to maintain a good environment around. She was helping as a human and as a friend, not just as an agency worker.

In my journey to China I’ve met very kind people who I will always be grateful for.

Pros
  • High-quality Chinese language courses
  • Cost-Effective Living & Learning
  • great support teams

The Golden Road

I am delighted to express my gratitude to Chuanyue Cultural Homestay for allowing me to fully immerse myself in Chinese culture. The pre-departure arrangements were smooth, fast, and efficient. During my stay, I had the invaluable opportunity to attend a language course, which also awarded me a Chinese language certificate. My relationship with the host family was wonderful—I never encountered any major cultural barriers, and they treated me as if I were their own son. I would love to do it again and again .

I now have a second family for life!

My experience in China was truly unforgettable. I had the chance to meet many kind and welcoming people who not only taught me a lot about Chinese culture, but also helped me improve my language skills while living real everyday life in China. The host family made me feel at home from the very first day: their warmth, care, and generosity turned our relationship into something much deeper than I could have ever imagined, I just came back to visit them after two years from the program! They treated me like a real family member, and I will always cherish the moments we shared together. I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything in the world. To anyone considering an experience like this: go with an open mind and an open heart, you won’t regret it!

Best experience in China ever

Spending a year in China was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my life. I lived in Guangzhou and worked as an English language teacher. Coming from Europe, I knew it would be very different, but I didn’t fully realize how much I would grow both personally and professionally. Communication with people was sometimes difficult due to language barriers, and workplace expectations were different from what I was used to back home. Despite the challenges, the job gave me valuable experience in cross-cultural communication and taught me patience and adaptability. Daily Life Adjusting to daily life in China took some effort. Practical tasks such as setting up a bank account or dealing with government paperwork were confusing at first, but with the help of local friends, I managed. Public transport was one of the highlights — the subway system was efficient, cheap, and easy to use with apps. Food was another unforgettable part of the experience. From street food stalls to hotpot dinners with friends, I discovered flavors I had never tried before. At times, I felt isolated as a foreigner, but learning basic Mandarin helped me connect better with people and navigate daily tasks. My year in China was incredibly rich. I celebrated Chinese New Year with beautiful people, visited historic sites like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, and enjoyed traditional performances and festivals. Overall Reflection Looking back, I would definitely recommend the experience to others, but with the advice to come prepared for cultural differences and challenges. China is not always easy to adjust to, but the rewards — the friendships, the cultural insights, and the professional growth — make it worthwhile. My biggest takeaway from this year is that stepping outside my comfort zone taught me resilience, flexibility, and a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity.
