I Keep Coming Back for More

I first came to Costa Rica in 2014 to complete an internship with Oceans Unlimited. After speaking with Georgia I choose to come here over other locations for what she had to offer. I participated in the Eco Warrior and the Social Media internship at the same time. I stayed for 9 months in total. I met some amazing people during my stay including my current boyfriend. We left Costa Rica as master scuba diver trainers in 2015 to work and travel in Australia for a year as scuba instructors.

Becoming an instructor with Oceans Unlimited helped to prepare me for the jobs I had in Australia. After the year was up, I was missing the pura vida lifestyle and decided to come back to Oceans Unlimited in 2017 to complete my IDC staff instructor training and some instructor specialties. Being interested in marine conservation, I wanted to become qualified to teach the marine conservation and research speciality. I am hoping to use this course and teach citizen scientists, students wanting a career in science, or people interested in marine conservation how they can take part in conducting research of their choosing using the knowledge and techniques they will learn during this course. It is one of the courses I am most excited about. I can't wait to get out there and start teaching it.
