About Program
Take linguistic immersion and cultural exploration to the next level with APA Paris: Gap Year. Begin the program with an orientation and three-week intensive French language course to lay the foundation for a successful stay in France. After, the cohort will follow three courses, each taught in French:
- Art History: Painting, Sculpture in France in the 19th Century - explore an exceptional period and conclude with a visit of Monet’s gardens in Giverny
- Political Science: France Today - get a crash course into French society with site visits
- Business French: An Economy of Creation: Discovering the French Savoir-Faire - discover the artisanal fields for which France is recognized like fashion (perfume, shoemakers, tailors); cuisine (chocolatier, pastry chef, baker); wine (production, sommelier); and more.
