I am truly grateful to RISH for providing such a fantastic platform!

Our family is Chinese origin residing in the United States. Due to COVID-19, it's been nearly five years since we last visited China. With China reopening, we are eager to return. Through online searches, I discovered RISH Chinese Summer Camp. This full-boarding camp is fully supervised, fully enclosed, and located on a university campus. It's a perfect fit for my 16-year-old daughter, allowing her to enhance her Chinese proficiency, develop independence, and engage with peers from around the world while having fun. This is especially appealing since, at her age, she prefers spending time with kids her own age without parental supervision. Sending her to the summer camp also grants to me and my husband the freedom to travel and explore various parts of China during her stay!
Upon her return, my daughter excitedly shared how happy she was at the camp. Many other young people of Chinese descent from around the world attended, and she quickly bonded with them. She made friends with many Chinese teens from Europe and is already planning to visit them in Europe next summer. I am truly grateful to RISH for providing such a fantastic platform, solving significant challenges for us, Chinese parents abroad.

Pros
  • Full-board camp

RISH is the best one my daughter has experienced so far

Our daughter was adopted from China, and we have always placed great emphasis on her learning of Chinese language and Chinese culture. Through a friend's recommendation, we learned about RISH, which offers a full-time, fully immersed Chinese summer camp. It provides an opportunity to learn Chinese, as well as excursions in iconic tourist cities like Shanghai and Hangzhou. It also allows children from around the world who are interested in Chinese language to learn and live together, which we believed would be a valuable experience for our daughter.
Initially, we planned to send her to the RISH summer camp in 2020, but due to COVID-19, we postponed the plan for three years. As soon as RISH had resumed its summer camp in 2023, we immediately enrolled our daughter.
During the camp the counselors sent me photos of my child's learning and outdoor activities every day. They responded promptly to any questions I had, regardless of the time difference, which had deeply touched me.
My daughter has participated in many summer camps in other countries, and I believe RISH is the best one she has experienced so far. I think if you are interested in China, you can participate in RISH without worrying about your Chinese proficiency. Once again, thanks to RISH summer camp!

I am grateful to the teachers at RISH for providing my son with a perfect journey in China

My son visited China for the first time, with zero Chinese language skills and not very proficient in English. Despite this, he had a strong desire to explore China. As I couldn't accompany him, I researched various Chinese summer camps on internet for him. In the end, we chose RISH, and it turned out to be a bright decision.
The staff at RISH, learning that my son was a first-time visitor to China, provided detailed information about the whole process, from airport pickup to drop-off after the camp, every step explained in detail.
The RISH staff consists of camp leaders, daily camp life coordinators, and Chinese teachers dedicated to students' everyday activities. These staff members stay with the students throughout the camp, ensuring that any issues can be promptly addressed.
I am grateful to the teachers at RISH for providing my son with a perfect journey in China. He made good friends with children from other countries and returned home with great joy, sharing stories of his adventures in China every day. I heard that RISH is planning a tour to Beijing next year, and my son is already eagerly preparing to participate again.

Best summer camp I attended!

This summer camp really helped me improving Chinese in a better way, all thanks to the super helpful staff and teachers. Even though it was my first time coming to China, they made me feeling safe and comfortable whenever I needed any help.
They explained all the activities and trips so well that I learned a ton about daily life there. It also boosted my Chinese skills, and now I'm excited to learn even more. The courses are useful and interesting. I'll definitely be back to make more friends and keep on learning Chinese.

All the staff are nice!

We want to express our appreciation to the instructors and staff at RISH for providing an exceptional experience for our daughter during the Chinese Summer Camp. She is 10 years old and she participated in the full camp for three weeks in 2023. She grew up in a German, English and Chinese speaking family but before entering in this program, she had minimal exposure to the Chinese language. However, after completing the three-week camp, she acquired a fundamental grasp of Chinese for daily life and routines. She was also more confident in actively reponding to inquiries and requests in Chinese. We also found the school environment to be comfortable and inviting. All the staff are nice, friendly, and polite. We are considering about enrolling both our daughter and younger son in the same camp next summer!

Great summer camp experience!

My child has been learning Chinese for six years, and I've been searching for a suitable Chinese summer camp for him in China. Finally, I chose RISH. The camp is located on the campus of a well-known university in China, which is very convenient with a hotel, convinient stores, and sports facilities. The children stay in the hotel on the campus, newly decorated and fully equipped. The camp's teachers are very responsible, sending me daily photos of my child's learning, outdoor activities, and life at the camp. My child came back very happy, sharing many interesting stories from the summer camp and Interesting Encounters. He has improved his Chinese significantly after spending 20 days in the summer camp. I am very grateful for RISH's summer camp experience.

The safest summer camp!

My son went to China for the first time, so I spent a long time researching and carefully comparing several different summer camps online. In the end, I chose RISH because they were the only camp located on a university campus, providing a sense of security. Although he stayed on campus, it wasn't in student dormitories; instead, he stayed in a hotel on the campus with excellent accommodation conditions. My son told me that during the summer camp, he had a great place to stay, good food, lots of fun activities, and he made many new friends, which made him very happy.I am very fortunate that I chose the RISH summer camp for my son!
