Travel to the birthplace of Western culture in one of the most historically-rich and romantic countries in the world. We begin our journey in a setting unlike any other – Rome. Discover the architectural marvels of the Pantheon and Coliseum. Tour the Vatican and enormous St. Peter’s Square then head to Piazza Navona for the world’s best gelato and savour it on the Spanish Steps. Don’t forget to toss a few coins into the Trevi Fountain before you leave. Travel to Venice and explore the city’s many canals and bridges. Climb to the top of the San Marco Basilica, adorned, ceiling to floor, in elaborate mosaics. Stop in Verona for a visit to the backdrop of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Continue on to Florence to admire Michaelangelo’s David at the Accademia and prepare an authentic Italian meal. Fall in love with the beautiful coastal villages of Cinque Terre (Five Lands) in the Italian region of Liguria.
