Switzerland may be famously neutral, but once you’ve discovered the lush meadows, breathtaking peaks, charming alpine villages, looking glass lakes and peaceful vibe of this beautiful country, you’ll definitely be taking sides. Go on a roaring whitewater rafting excursion in the resort village of Interlaken and challenge yourself at the indoor climbing center. Ski or snowboard in the shadow of the Matterhorn in Zermatt or enjoy a ride up to the top of the Theodul Glacier. Tour the United Nations, where delegates meet annually to negotiate world peace. See the famous Jet d’Eau, a 140-meter-high water jet shooting gallons of water into the air above Lake Geneva. Tour the old town and its quays, lakeside promenades, countless parks and lovely side streets. This small country offers big thrills. But no matter where you are or what you’re doing, don’t forget to try some famous chocolate and cheese fondue!
