Great experience with Impact Teaching!

I went to China through Impact Teaching back in 2018 and it was hands down the best experience. They helped with every step of the process in getting there and were always just a phone call or email away if I needed any help. Additionally, the placements they offer are of the highest standard and are researched throughly, my school made me feel very welcome. The salary was very competitive and even allowed me to save money whilst I was there! I would 100% recommend them if you are considering moving to China to teach.

Great can't fault it

Amazing experience one of the best times of my life and I am still keeping in touch now, 7 years on! Teachers were amazing, it was just an all round incredible experience. Don't hesitate you only live once in this life
Incredible... Couldn't fault it!
Had an amazing time when teaching English in Shaoxing in between my 2nd and 3rd year of university. This company were more reasonably priced than others I had looked at and the free option they now offer is amazing! I would highly recommend the experience due to the bonds I built with the other teachers, the delicious food I was able to taste as well as the places I was able to see. The support I got through the whole process leading up to the day I took off on the plane was 1st class. One of the best summers of my life!

If you’re thinking of teaching in China

If you’re thinking of working in China then this company - Impact Teaching, Go Overseas- is your best option! They provide so much support with the visa process and the school application process that something that should have been complicated was made stress free. Once in China at the teach english in China training you get on site support for everything you could possibly think of so you’re adaption to life in China is smooth. I couldn’t have gotten to this point without Impact Teaching. I would definitely recommend

Amazing experience with Impact Teaching

I chose Impact Teaching when I first decided to teach in China and it couldn't have been a better choice. They found me an amazing location- Zhangjiajie- which I would never have been able to find on my own. It was small but beautiful and I made friends for life there, as well as having excellent teaching hours and overall a great quality of living. They were there for every step of the process before going to China too, which is valuable especially during the visa process which can be somewhat tricky. With Impact Teaching I felt comfortable and supported and I was continuously checked on which only added to this. Thank you!!

Summer Program

I have taught in China twice now with this company in my summer terms of university. The company allows a really safe and exciting experience to teach and thrive in China. The communication and help provided makes the trip surprisingly relaxing, and the orientation days allow an opportunity to meet other teachers also going on the program!
I decided to go back with the same company as it was so enjoyable the first time. Despite not knowing anyone else either of my times, I made good friends with the other teachers and have an experience I’ll never forget. I intend to travel back to China, and if I do it’ll 100% be with this company, as I know it’s legitimate, safe, and a truly amazing time! I would recommend this to anyone considering travel or teaching!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Really throw yourselves in to all of the opportunities offered, especially by your new Chinese friends (as long as it’s safe!)

TEIC review

The whole process was great...the only thing that was somewhat of an issue were the hidden costs that kept reoccurring. It would be better if people were told straight away, rather than when they are too deep into the process to stop. Apart from that though, the whole process was smooth and really enjoyable! Amy was especially brilliant when we got to China but so was Arnold in the build up. The training at the hotel in Beijing was great!!! The hotel (and food) was amazing, the lessons were somewhat informative but definitely helped. The summer camp was really fun! Although the beds weren't particularly comfy and it was had a lot of similarities with a prison...I will never forget it. We were certainly thrown into the deep end but everyone swam, it was great to bond with the kids. I still miss them!!! Oh and one thing which only applies to people in Shanghai with Pacican...because they only do primary schools, it would have been good to know beforehand because I thought I was teaching middle school.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Chicken rings when I thought they were onion rings haha not great signage from the chefs at the summer camp, they did their best!!!

Just do it

I've only been in China for a little over two months and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions I've made. The language is vastly different from those that I'm used to hearing - I'm from South Africa - but the culture shares a few similarities with those of my own. Primarily, the sense of community. The people are friendly and the sights are breathtaking. Through the Teach English in China I've been able to meet people from various parts of the world who I can now call friends, traveled farther than I'd ever previously dreamed of and, above all, learn skills that have not only helped me in the classroom but beyond. I've learned self-assuredness; I feel more confident in the things I say and do more so than I ever did before. So if you're thinking about coming to China then stop thinking and 'just do it.'

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
The most unfamiliar thing that I've eaten so far is called Durian. It is supposedly a fruit and most people describe it as sweet but I have my own opinion on the matter. Having said that, China is not only a great place to expand your horizons but also your palate as well.
