Highly suggest Gen.G Practicum

The experience with Gen.G was amazing with all the Gen.G staff and all the other cohort members. They provide a lot of opportunities and are open to talk. Make sure to reach out and not stay complacent to get the most out of it.

I was lucky the group I had was as amazing as it was but make sure to get familiar and cooperate with your group. Sadly the practicum was only 3 weeks but this gave me so much insight. I believe I learned what I wanted to learn from the practicum and there is so much to learn from.

Esports development at Gen. G

I had some of the best times of my life going to Korea to work alongside Gen. G and their wonderful staff. Most of my life I have wanted to learn more about esports and always dreamed about what a career would look like for me. I truly feel like Gen. G tried their best to provide me with what I needed to feel like I got what I was searching for out of this experience. Our mentor made sure to check in with us to see if we were working on a project we enjoyed. Even outside of the office, there were plenty of cultural experiences that the team planned for us to enjoy and made time to help us integrate as best as we could while living there for a few weeks.

What was your funniest moment?
Experiencing a Korean spa for the first time with a group of friends I JUST met allowed me to connect with them in a unique way.
Pros
  • Esports insight with industry leaders (College Internship requirement fulfilled)
  • Seeing and working in the same building as pro players was cool
  • insane long-term value with the network/other opportunities
Cons
  • A little expensive for college students
  • Acceptance in the program is a little last minute and doesn't leave a TON of time to prepare but still very doable
