About Program

Omeida Summer Camp is an all-inclusive 1 or 2-week program aimed at kids and teenagers from various nationalities.
It is a great opportunity to come together to learn a new language.

Studies have proved that learning a second language benefits psychological development. It is also proven that younger learners can pick up a new language faster and it will flow more naturally. This will open many doors of opportunities for the child as they develop.

In the mornings the students work through Chinese lessons and activities in a small class environment. In the afternoons they all learn about the culture together. Activites range from traditional painting and cooking dumplings to going on outings to the tea plantation.

The Chinese Summer Camp course helps children to understand the Chinese culture and lifestyle, gain independence, make new friends and have an unforgettable experience! Let us show you that learning Chinese is fun!

7 Year Old Daughter Loved Her Experience

Our daughter of 7 spent a week with Omeida. She happened to be the youngest in the particular group she was in. Our daughter had been learning Chinese for 3 years. Since my wife and I do not speak Mandarin, we chose this program for a more immersive experience. We were very glad to see the Chineses activities were not only in the classroom, but also out on the streets, parks, and markets. One activity our daughter did was to ask in Chinese strangers do perform a task with them -- like take a picture or jump in the air. It was a very fun and engaging way to speak Chinese to native speakers.

The staff were very attentive to her. For example, they make sure she had an umbrella and was covered when it rained, they carried the heavier items for her when needed, and looked out for her needs. The staff also created an environment conducive to kindness among campers. For example, during the cave exploration activity, despite having overalls on, our daughter was a bit short and water would have gotten wet. The campers carried her where the water level was high to keep her dry.

Our daughter had been asking to return again next year for a full two week program. We are making plans to do that!

Great experience

Our experience with Omeida was excellent. My 16-year-old son attended a 2 week summer camp and then a 1 week private class. He was impressed by the quality of instruction .... highly skilled, patient, and deeply committed to helping students succeed in learning Chinese.

The three-week camp provided an immersive environment where my son could fully engage with the language. The instructors focused on building a strong foundation in Chinese, covering essential grammar points, practical vocabulary, and all four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The lessons were well-structured and paced to match the students' different learning speeds, ensuring that everyone could keep up and feel confident.

What truly stood out was the supportive atmosphere created by the teachers. They were always encouraging, readily answering questions, and offering constructive feedback. My son felt comfortable and motivated to learn, which made a significant difference in his progress.

In his spare time he also helped out by teaching English to some of the native Chinese students. He gained a lot by sharing a room with native Chinese kids, speaking in both Chinese and English.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Give it a go and enjoy the experience ! There are many other foreign students learning Chinese and many native Chinese students learning English. A fun learning environment with an opportunity to make new friends and learn about each others culture.

Amazing experience!

My 3 kids joined the summer camp for 2 weeks. Through this camp they learned not only Chinese but also learned a life skill. Such as communication skill, self management skill and being considerate for others. They shared a room and spend 24 hours together with friends.
They could mix with friends from different countries and different ages.
Omeida provided Chinese lessons in the morning and exciting activities afternoon like cave exploring, kayaking and cooking classes etc.
What I appreciated a lot was they kept phones away most of the time. So that kids could connect well with each others, became very close friends such a short period.
Thank you to all the dedicated and friendly teachers and very helpful staffs! Thank youuuu
