Great program

This experience was great in helping me take my first step into the industry and get some hands-on experience working on professional projects while building up my portfolio. Everyone at the company was super nice and welcoming and it was a great work environment. I was able to use my skills in storyboarding, animating, and illustrating and contribute to a variety of projects ranging from creating animations for social media to TV commercials, for a range of clients including local restaurants and international companies.

This program was the greatest decision and opportunity that ever happened to me, and if you get the chance to be apart of this amazing experience I highly recommend you go for it. It's a great start for someone who needs help starting off their experience and careers. You make great connections, expand your network and get amazing guidance and mentorship for so many amazing people. I promise, it is worth it in the end!

Great experience with ABI

I had a placement in a small production business which allows experiencing every step of the production process, I think for a media industry beginner I'm very grateful to have such valuable mentorship.
ABI as the mentoring agency is also very responsible, their service includes building my portfolio and resume and interview preparation will definitely help with any of my future internships.
And I really looking forward to joining in any other activities and having more collaboration with them.

ArtBound Initiative

This was an amazing experience that taught me extra skills in my field of writing. I had the chance to research several topics and get better at developing soft skills such as time management and communication. My research skills have improved greatly as well. As a content writing intern, i had the amazing opportunity to experience what the industry is like so now i feel well equipped to enter the professional field as i now know what to expect and i have got the required skills under my belt. The entire ArtBound team including Laura, Zulfa and Ginda has been so helpful throughout the process. I had the most fruitful 5 months doing my internship with Blank Theory.

Pros
  • One on one communication with my supervisor
  • The ability to explore more writing techniques
  • The experience of working for a professional company
Cons
  • Did not have in person experiences due to covid

New York Program with ABI

I applied to ArtBound in 2019 and it has turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. I would say ABI helped me the most with making my dreams a reality. I got a valuable lesson about self-presentation in the creative industry and I have made connections all over the world!
I interned for a creative marketing agency that works with high-end companies such as Hublot, Shiseido, Ivy Park, and Tory Burch. My main tasks were to come up with campaign concepts and rebranding. The projects varied every week, which kept the internship exciting.

Pros
  • lots of events like concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions etc.
  • international students interning for with the programme
  • great professional experience for the resume
Cons
  • expensive cost living in New York City

Great program, support and recourses

ArtBound is a fantastic program that not only pairs you with an internship that best suits you, but also provides training and mentoring that helps beyond the internship.
The ArtBound program helped build my confidence and skills through their training, career-building resources, and mentoring sessions. They provide honest feedback to help you refine your portfolio and resume. Even throughout the internship, ArtBound constantly check-in to make sure your best interests are looked after - even during a remote internship.
Their support has left me feeling job-ready and excited for the next stages after studying.

amazing programme!

I never thought I'd get to go to Europe, especially to work in the field that interests me and in some way, ABI made it so easy. Ginda and Laura champion you to be your best self and coach you with their knowledge of what companies want, in order to present yourself in interviews that under normal circumstances would be near-impossible to get. You have to work hard at it, but they accompany you and set you up for success, even though once in the internship it's up to you and your determination to do well! I kinda wish I could do it all over again, because it was that amazing.

Pros
  • working abroad
  • contacts
  • visa help
Cons
  • the housing partner

The perfect program

The ABI prepares you phenomenally for the internship that you do. The learning modules were short and were straight to the point and will provide you with perfect insights about your industry. It guarantees you an internship that won't be just grabbing coffee for the boss but one that is highly hands on. I chose to do my internship online and was made to feel completely comfortable with this choice. I highly recommend the ABI to any student looking for professional development and hands on experience.

Pros
  • Provides industry insights
  • Gives you contacts in the industry your wanting to go in
  • Gives you an internship that gets you working real jobs

Amazing experience, support and career connections!

ArtBound has been incredibly supportive throughout this whole experience, providing a large amount of information with regards to building one’s own portfolio and resume in order to highlight the best aspects of their skills within their chosen career field.

Not only was I guided with ease before and during my internship process, but all access to networking with other individuals within the program - past and present - will always be available. They have built communities of successful and passionate individuals around the world which have easy ways to communicate with one another and form personal and professional relationships through their Mighty Networks social platform.

I would definitely recommend ArtBound to anyone looking for a creative internship, they’re some of the best in the business with communications to some of the best studios and agencies in the world.

Internship in New York Through Artbound Initiative

Artbound Initiative helped me get an internship with Seliger Studio, world-renowned photographer Mark Seliger’s photo studio in New York City. I can already tell that I will look back on this internship as the break-through start of my career. I’ve learned more in the past five months than I did during almost the entirety of my film degree, I’ve made remarkable connections, and I’ve gotten the opportunity to get an up-close look at what my dream career would look like on a day-to-day basis.

I was originally placed as a production intern, during which I assisted Mark’s executive producer with call sheets, scheduling, billing, researching/presenting creative concepts, and other production logistics. I also got to work as a production assistant on set during photoshoots, which was a great opportunity to observe and learn from Mark’s process! After 4 months as a production intern, I was given the opportunity to switch to a photo
Internship, which is the position I currently hold. As an aspiring photographer and
creative director, I’ve been thrilled with the opportunity to work more closely with Mark in
the photo and creative process. On a day-to-day basis, I work directly under Mark’s first assistant in creating lighting plans for shoots, organizing creative treatments, testing equipment, assisting Mark on set, and much more.

Without Artbound Initiative, I would have had no idea that internships with Seliger Studio even existed. Artbound has put me in touch with all of the right people, truly kickstarting the beginning of my career and allowing me to move to New York. I’ve so appreciated the caring, personal support they have provided me throughout this whole process, encouraging me to reach for opportunities that I would have never thought possible for myself. The confidence I have gained in my own abilities, as well as my career, in the past year is in large part due to the coaching, support, and opportunities provided by Artbound– for that, I couldn’t be more grateful!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I was pretty terrified walking into the studio on my first day-- I knew that the studio would be a high-stress, high-pressure environment, and I still couldn't comprehend that I had gotten an internship with one of the most successful and admired photographers alive. However, the coaching and preparation that Artbound provided helped me through the stressful moments of learning the ropes in my first few weeks, and before I knew it I was loving every moment of learning in such a fast-paced creative environment.
