I have to say it was pretty funny when i decide to join into Go Abroad China. I still remember when i told my parents that i want to go to China,how bigger the mouth they were opened. I just searched online and then Go Abroad China pops out, and i read their website and the program discrbtion all the service i can order. Then i just put my laptop in front of my parents, and we finally decide to send Go Abroad China an email together. They did a fast reply, and after a few email talking i did a skype interview. It went pretty good and i got an offer that could really help my future career.
After all this i am landed in China. I cannot mention how excited i am, and the person who picked me up Jeremy was so cool. So by his lead i start my life in China.
And my coworker are really good and help same with my host family the are perfect.

Although I do not enjoy doing this, I think it is an opportunity to give feedback to Go Abroad China as an agent as well as provide information for future participants on a platform. My experiences were too much and at this moment that I am typing, I am already tired. I wish Gooverseas will record this in voice rather because I enjoy doing some mathematical gymnastics rather than writting essays: a reason why I love corporate finance. I joined Go Abroad China through an information session on my campus during their campus tour. I am originally a university of Loughborough student majoring in Business Studies.
I paid so much for this program so I came in with serious expectations with high hopes. This was like a journey to Mars a planet I never knew about but had some photographs and footages from the news.
I was given 4 companies with 3 in Shanghai and another in Beijing. I do not know if I needed to mention these companies which I will do because I did not read the ethics guiding this review. But i settled for one in Shanghai called Transcosmos Consulting. I loved the job description from day one because I will be part of a team that are supposed to carry out a feasibility research for a clothing line from Italy which was supposed to take over another in Xian (China). I was then put on the line to speak with the HR who is an American. I was subjected to a stress interview and I did not like it but it was good I was confirmed afterall. I will assume at this point that I am already in China and then work started. Arrival arrangements went well and I am not supposed to be overly impressed as thats the duty of Go Abroad China as I paid them so much.
I love this company because I worked in a team where we were allowed to vary the working time. We worked so late sometimes and we are allowed to delay coming to work next day. This proposes I am a disorgnized person and loves disorganized environments but I dont really care what you as a reader is thinking because my supervisor likes me that way.
First of all, I was made to perform tasks that were already completed to test my accuracy especially financial statement analysis and predictions. Cost structuring given the company's information. Stress testing on financial systems within an organizations and evaluating their capital structure.
So that brings the corporate finance topics and revisions to mind. Have you ever been put on the spot ? I have and I think I never disgraced Prof Tuller the one who educated me about finance. Company evaluation, the process of mergers and acquisitions, Red lights during acquisitions, Negotiation skills etc was what I added to my head during the internship. It was very easy to absorb because it was done in a very corporate environment with real situation.
What else? the food?, the people? the fun? the trips? the events? etc they are not relevant to you now as you read this because your main aim is to get real hands on experience in China. China has 10000000 how many zeros? types of food and you cant enjoy all. Get ready for the drinking culture of chinese while you network and it is pretty easy. Shanghai is a city that easily sways dreams. I am not fascinated by its beautiful designs on the street since I have had enough of that in London but the Nightlife is........ (let me end it there)
I just secured a 2 year contract with the company I interned and I am considering going back to China only if my family agrees.

The program was fantastic as I am trying to avoid too sweet words. I think Go Abroad China is too old and learnt their lessons in the past but they have not finished growing. I worked with Native English Speaking and 2 Italians How could I speak Chinese? So the "Ni hao" and basics is all I had not Business Chinese. I hate them for that.

Go Abroad China arranged me a very good internship placement, all my coworker were friendly and they really helpful. It was a great experience.I learned a lot of stuff from this company. At the beginning i was a little worried, because i thought the different culture and the different language,but the truth is we have a great time. The hostfamily also amazing, they treat me very well. And after a few days we truly became family.
Also Go Abroad China arranged me a tutor to taught me Chinese. I knew i am a slow learner and Chinese is really hard, but after all we get through it.
I want to thank Go Abroad China give me a memory i can not forget for my whole life.

I learned Chinese when i was a kid, and to be honest i really like this pretty difficult language. Then when i started my university, i think maybe i can go abroad and try to learn this amazing language.Then i started search go abroad learn Chinese,and i found out Go Abroad China.They are really good.

Go Abroad China really helped me a lot when i was in China doing my internship. They picked me up at the airport and help me found an amazing host family,they helped me to get used to the city show me how to take the subway how to take the bus, and a lot of tips about how to handle my life in China. The internship company they arranged for me was perfect. I couldn't ask any more about this experience.
The only thing it do bothered me when i was in China is some chinese people they like to staring at me.Maybe they thought i was some celebrity,who knows!

Go Abroad China brought me to China in order to participate in their High School Program. I got fascinated about China and its economic strides and at the same time got scared by negative news of pollution. To go or not to go was the dilemma i paid my participation fee with GAC in early 2013 but could not attend until late 2013. This was why i got hesitant. But i got to know that Shanghai was also an alternative so i took it. My main reason for joining the high school program was to better my Mandarin skills. I already study Mandarin in the UK with a mandarin school. I saw this as an opportunity to speak with natives and travel as well.
The program was properly designed with language studies as well as tour programs. Homestay is a special feature of the program. The program's unique elements focus in the practical acquisition of Chinese speaking and writing skills which was exactly my reason for joining. Apart from class arrangements, i also paid for extra one-on-one tutoring in the evenings so as to maximize my experience. It was properly put together such that my evening studies complemented what i studied during the day. This is what i call "intensive".

I had an incredible time with Go Abroad China. I chose Go Abroad China because their service are affordable but promising than the other 3 third party companies that i sampled on Gooverseas.com
Arriving in China, one thing i noticed was the cultural shock and i immediately knew that China was a different place to be. The people are so good to foreigners and could use their last moments to offer help.
I taught my host family English language so i had my accommodation for free which i never paid.Go Abroad China helped arrange this and it was helpful as my total fee had reduced drastically.
I lived near Go Abroad China's office, so i participated in many of the activities they plan. It was a fun experience to hang out with the other foreigners and talk about our different countries. I met amazing people from
all around the world, people with interesting stories and different experience from mine. It was always a pleasure to go to my Chinese classes and see everyone there.
Content of the program was fine with my expectations. I combined language Immersion with volunteering agenda. I taught English Language and Computer Lessons in a Migrant School in Beijing. It was a very deep and emotional program and i am happy to see my effort impact on these Children.

I owe it a duty to review this program because i promised Go Abroad China that if they are able to deliver a good service, i will act as their goodwill ambassador.
I embarked on this program because there is much variety. I am not restricted to a particular rigid program schedule.
Arriving in China, I took the Beijing Culture University Program. I was fascinated by the fact that a high school program has a university root and that was why i chose Go Abroad China.
We were taught by University Professors who understood the tactics of teaching mandarin without stress. The BLCU program is well diversified participation from all over the world. I met and made friends with similar career objectives.
Studies were mixed with trips and tours which gave me value for money.

I think i will never regret coming to China because it was an awesome and an eye opening trip for me getting to experience a culture that is different from the west. Selecting a service provider for such trips was always daunting and painstaking. When i was looking for an Asian Gap Year i saw their advert "Experts for Gap Year Planning" i added them to a basket of similar service providers which i had to observe the correspondences and carefully select i chose them because their staff have been so helpful in the process.
I understand that Homestays accommodations are the best to facilitate language immersion but i opted to share apartment with Chinese students in dormitories in a particular High School Campus. My parents encouraged me because they felt it was safer because there are caretakers. Indeed i feel this is the best decision i have ever made because i mingled with Chinese students who also were interested in learning the English language the result was butter trade.
I am currently still in China and due to depart in the next two weeks but i am already feeling reluctant. Apart from getting to know the language and the lifestyle of China, i have grown as a person and as a traveler. I have learnt to understand and coexist with different cultures and personalities and i will be going back home with many beautiful memories.
Since we have the language barrier sometimes it is difficult to discuss about things or problems but over time, my Chinese improved drastically and we could discuss just anything. We spend evenings describing our various countries and nice places. My Chinese friend told His parents about me and the decided to pick me on a family treat with approval from Go Abroad China. The program content was superb ,it allowed for full immersion and mastery of mandarin, the environment for studying was absolutely warm and welcoming, Coordinators were always available to help every step of the way. The language study is very rigorous and deep. At the end of the day, what matters is that i achieved my ambitions.
If i should rate, i will give Go Abroad China Lower excellent because i know they cannot be perfect.

I came on Go Abroad China's program because a friend's parent was sending them to China on the same program. We both selected the Homestay living package and also stayed with the same family. It cannot be boring when i already have my buddy around me. The other 24 hour service was an added spice.
The program content was superb, as we combined Language study and Tour Program. We chose one-on-one program which means that we both had separate tutors.
Among our activities was a networking dinner where we were mixed with older participants who were participating in the internship program and we thought it was not relevant because we were still not matured but i was proved wrong at the end of the dinner. I got to meet some Chinese business
community members who shared light on how they do business. Their culture of friendship first before business is a very relevant knowledge that each needs to know before doing business in China.
Weekend Activities were also very significant to our experience.
When our program was over, we asked for an extension of visa for a month so that we could visit Shanghai and some other ancient sites which our stay duration could not allow us to. GAC managed to do that for us and we stayed further.
