Looking to gain invaluable experience, live and breath a new culture, and meet amazing people along the way? An internship with The Intern Group is a perfect opportunity to do all of that at once! From start to finish, my experience was nothing but positive. From scheduling interviews with local organizations, to setting up your accommodation, to all the other finer details, the staff are there to help organize everything to ensure you have a seamless arrival and a truly unforgettable time in your new city. To further enhance your time abroad, The Intern Group puts on various professional development workshops, organizes local tours and excursions, and arranges frequent social events to bring interns together. As for my actual internship, The Intern Group staff frequently checked in on me to ensure I was satisfied with my placement at the beginning. Although it took a bit of time adjusting to the slower work pace than what I was used to, I had the opportunity to collaborate with and befriend some of the most incredible and inspiring people.

Colombia is rich in culture, home to some of the friendliest people in the world, and the perfect place to do an internship abroad!

This internship program helped me to learn a lot about my possible career path, while also allowing me to explore a different culture that I was always curious about. I was able to meet many different people that came from completely different backgrounds than me as well as people that had similar lives as mine. I think that overall this program really helped me grow as a student and expanded my knowledge of the working world.

I had an amazing experience overall with this program. I have been able to travel to London and Italy from Dublin, of course with my bosses consent. I have made lifetime friends. This has really been a highlight in my life. I’m happy I made the decision to go forward with it. It has become about way more then just professional development and has translated into personal development as well. I learned to cook and become completely independent, in addition to the other ways I have grown. My perspective on life has expanded as the world has become a bit smaller.

I had a great internship experience in New York. The staff were all very supportive from my first interview to being out here in New York. Furthermore staff always stayed in contact with us during the internship to make sure we were ok. The accommodation was good and the other interns were all so friendly and we had regular fun nights out. The staff who did the tours were all so nice and welcoming. The company I interned in was very good and always made me work on new projects and I got to learn a lot. I would defiantly recommend this program to future participants it is a life changing experience.

I had a wonderful time during the 6 months program. This experience exceeds my expectations. The accommodation was very well located and I always felt safe. Brian, Satya and Paola were very helpful and available at any time. Nicholas was very helpful during the whole process and gave me all the support I needed. The Intern Group found a great company for my internship which allowed me to grow professionally. I was very satisfied! I met new people who most of them will become friends for a life time. Regarding me it is the best program ever! Thank you the Intern Group! You are doing a great job!

My 6 months in Shanghai enabled me to learn a great deal and gave me some incredible exposure to a new culture and the thriving Fintech scene in China. My internship was in a very interesting field and although the company was relatively small, I was given significant responsibilities. My experience would not have been the same without the amazing programme coordinators in Shanghai, particularly Tommy, (someone I now consider a close friend) who went above and beyond to ensure that myself and the other interns were always entertained and well taken care of! I hope to return to Shanghai someday and would definitely recommend the intern group to anyone looking for international experience!

My only regret is I wish I stayed for longer! This was a great experience, I loved working for my company and thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle Shanghai provided. The intern group was able to place me with an amazing company with a great work environment and colleagues. My accommodation was great and the Intern Group team here in Shanghai has been amazing always organising fun things to do each day. Looking back on the last two months it has been amazing and I will very much miss living here and hanging out with all the friends I have made. For anyone looking to get involved with the Intern Group I highly recommend it, it has been a great experience and I can't wait to come back to Shanghai.

I was undecided in my life, I started college and didnt feel like it was the right fit for me. I decided to take a semester off, while on my break I came across an email from The intern group - Internships abroad. I opened the email thinking nothing of it, Just another program I was sure. When I opened their website I started reading and it caught my eye the amount of support they provided for the interns. When I looked in the locations tab I noticed there was a program in Medellin, Colombia ! ( I am colombian, with family in Medellin) When I saw this I felt as if it was meant to be. I signed up hoping for the best. When I recieved the call I was so nervous and doing everything possible to make sure I landed the internship! After getting in there wa sso much support in the placement process, Everything was easy and I had no worries about my internship placement or my accomodation, the intern group takes care of everything for you which is the best part. When inColombia I had the most amazing time, I had a great friendship with my flatmates. Not to mention my internship, I worked with a non profit called Juguemos en el bosque, I worked with kids that were up for adoption and protection. At juguemos en el bosque I had an internship yes, but I also found a family with my coworkers. I loved being in Colombia so much and working that I now Live here! Let me tell you if you are considering an internship, push yourself and just do it! The intern group supports every step of the way. From our apartment to the social, professional and cultural events - To on call medical support. At the Intern group you will truly find a support team that dedicates themsevles to making sure interns have the best experience possible in Medellin. I interned in New York City for 8 weeks through the Intern Group. Throughout the whole process from applying to interviewing with companies and even getting my visa there was always someone there to talk to each step of the way. I felt so supported and it made the process so much easier for me. Once I arrived in New York the experience coordinators were all so happy and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure everyone felt comfortable and included. The activities that were included were so much fun and allowed everyone to make friends easily and quickly. The company that I ended up interning for was awesome and it was so reassuring on my first day to know that it was all legit and real as it had all gone though the Intern Group! For anyone contemplating doing an internship abroad I could not recommend the Intern Group enough they are all so professional and make the whole experience that much more amazing!!

I had the most amazing experience interning and living in Dublin. The events and meet ups were excellent ways to learn more about everyone and their experiences, to get to know my program and event coordinators, and to experience the fun activities, both cultural and social, that Dublin had to offer. I was matched with an excellent internship that provided me with valuable work experience in my field of study and was provided with good housing accommodations. My housemates weren’t always the best at keeping things clean which made being there sometimes frustrating, but overall the experience I had was an excellent one.
